October Fall Wedding

I just love this time of year! October is such a great month to get married! Skyler and Cale’s October Wedding Day was GORGEOUS! The fall colors of their florals, the bridesmaid’s dresses, the guys orange velvet suspenders and bow ties…guys it was just amazing! They were surrounded by such sweet friends and family. It was a joy to be a part of their special day!!
When we first met Skyler and Cale for their engagement session, we instantly just fell in love with them! Their chill personalities and genuine kindness were like a breath of fresh air. Their love for each other was evident and many of their guests commented on this during toasts at their reception. It’s such a beautiful thing!
I always tend to tear up at weddings cause they’re just so special, but I have to tell you about a part of Skyler and Cale’s day that had my tears flowing big time… It was during the special dances at the reception towards the tail end of the couples dance (you know the one where the DJ calls out a certain number of years to see which couple remains on the dance floor as being married the longest?). Well, as soon as that dance had concluded, Cale’s grandmother steps out on the dance floor holding a photograph of her recently passed husband, Bud. They would have been the last couple remaining on the dance floor. She didn’t want to dance by herself with the photograph, so her son stepped in to dance with her while she held onto that photo. Then Cale stepped in to dance with his grandmother as well. I was just a puddle of tears!
Skyler wore her Aunt’s wedding dress which was soo sweet! Skyler’s momma was pregnant with her at the time her Aunt got married in that dress. Different family members all took on different parts of the wedding day with their amazing talents! Skyler’s Aunt Izzy did all the fabulous floral arrangements! Her Aunt Tara was the hairstylist, her cousin Jared was the DJ, her Aunt Darcy did the cake and cupcakes, and the whole family did the cooking! And the food was amazing!
Congrats Skyler & Cale, we are so happy for you both! And we are truly honored to have been there celebrating with you!! :)
