An Intimate Wedding Day in Anderson, California

There are some wedding days that feel extra meaningful—and this was one of them.

I first met Cari when I was 8 years old, so getting to capture her wedding day wasn’t just an honor… it was deeply personal. I’ve seen her walk through so many seasons of life, and witnessing her step into this new chapter with Kevin was incredibly special.

Their day started with the most joyful and vibrant details. The reception space was filled with stunning hot pink and orange decor and florals—bold, bright, and completely reflective of Cari’s personality. Every little detail felt intentional and full of life.

From there, we headed to Church on the Rock for their private ceremony. Surrounded by close family and friends, Cari and Kevin exchanged vows in a setting that felt both peaceful and deeply meaningful. It was one of those ceremonies where you could just feel the weight and beauty of the moment—God’s hand so clearly present in their story.

Afterward, we spent some time capturing family photos before sneaking away for portraits at Anderson River Park. And while we may have been battling a few very persistent mosquitoes (okay… more than a few 😅), it was completely worth it. The glowy evening light, the lush green foliage—it all came together to create the most romantic, dreamy portraits of the two of them.

We wrapped up the day at a private ranch for their reception, and it truly felt like the perfect ending. The evening was filled with incredible food (made by Matthew and our daughter Emily, which made it even more special!), laughter, music, and so much joyful celebration.

Cari and Kevin, we couldn’t be happier for you. It’s so evident that God brought you two together, and it was such a gift to witness and capture the beginning of this new chapter.
