Sunset Wedding at the Sundial Bridge in Redding, California
Sydella + Will
Some wedding days feel extra special, and Sydella and Will’s day was one of those from the very beginning. Their entire family flew in from Arizona to gather in Redding for one reason: to witness these two say “I do” in one of the most beautiful places Northern California has to offer—the Sundial Bridge. It was such an honor for us to document it all.
The day began at the Sheraton, where both Sydella and Will were getting ready for the big moment. The anticipation in the bridal suite was sweet and steady—the kind of excitement you can feel in the room before the day really begins. One of the most meaningful parts of the afternoon was Sydella’s first look with her dad. Watching him see his daughter as a bride for the first time was incredibly special. Right after, Sydella shared a first look with the rest of her family, and it was such a gift to capture all of the emotion and joy.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the bridge, Will was with his family and Matt, taking portraits and waiting for the moment he’d finally see his bride. There’s something so powerful about that waiting—the excitement, the nerves, the anticipation of everything changing in just a few moments.
When it was time, Sydella and her dad began the walk across the long stretch of the Sundial Bridge. It was one of those moments that felt almost cinematic. They took their time, even pausing for a few quiet seconds to soak it all in before continuing toward Will. It was such a beautiful reminder that wedding days move fast, but the most meaningful moments are often the ones where you slow down and truly feel it.
And then came the moment Will saw Sydella for the first time. His reaction was so genuine and tender—one of those reactions you never forget witnessing. It was precious, emotional, and such a reflection of the love these two share.
After that, everyone made their way underneath the bridge for the ceremony. Tucked beneath the incredible architecture of the Sundial Bridge, surrounded by family who had traveled so far to be there, Sydella and Will exchanged vows and officially became husband and wife. It was simple, intimate, and absolutely beautiful.
As the family headed off to the reception dinner and the sun began to set, we started sunset portraits—and wow, they were epic. The sunset, the bridge, the river, and the way these two naturally fit together made for the dreamiest portraits. It felt like the perfect ending to such a meaningful day.
What made this wedding so special wasn’t just the incredible location or the stunning sunset—it was the intentionality behind it all. The fact that their entire family traveled from Arizona just so they could say “I do” on the Sundial Bridge says so much about the love and support surrounding these two.
Sydella and Will, thank you for trusting us to capture such a meaningful day. It was truly an honor to be your wedding photographers and witness the start of this new chapter. We’re so excited for all that’s ahead for you both. 🤍
