Some engagement sessions feel especially meaningful, and Kasey and Jason's session in the beautiful forests of Whitmore, California was definitely one of them.
Nestled among towering pine trees and surrounded by the peaceful sounds of nature, we spent the evening capturing this sweet season of their lives together. The setting couldn't have been more perfect. Golden sunlight filtered through the trees, creating the most beautiful glow and an almost ethereal atmosphere throughout their session.
What made this location even more special is that it isn't just a beautiful backdrop—it's theirs.
Kasey and Jason recently purchased this stunning property and plan to build their dream home there in the future. As we wandered through the trees and explored the land, it was impossible not to think about all the memories they will create here in the years to come. The property felt peaceful, quiet, and full of possibility.
One of the things I loved most about spending time with Kasey and Jason is how naturally they fit into this environment. Kasey's work allows her to spend time outdoors, which suits her perfectly because she genuinely loves being surrounded by nature. Jason shares that same passion for the great outdoors. Whether he's hunting, fishing, or finding any excuse to spend time outside, it's clear that being in nature is where he feels most at home.
Their shared love for the outdoors makes them such a perfect match. Watching them together on land that means so much to them felt authentic and effortless. There was no need to force moments or manufacture connection—it was simply two people enjoying a place they love and dreaming about the future they're building together.
As the sun dipped lower behind the trees and the forest filled with warm golden light, we captured some of my favorite images from the evening. The combination of their genuine connection, the stunning scenery, and the significance of the property made for an unforgettable session.

Kayden and Ben traveled up from the Bay Area for a beautiful summer engagement session at Lema Ranch in Redding, California.
