Meet Cassidy Lou

There is something extra special about photographing a family you’ve known for years. Watching life unfold, milestones come and go, and then getting to step in and document a brand new chapter—it never gets old.

Sweet baby Cassidy Lou recently made her debut, and I had the honor of capturing her very first photo session. She was born to our favorite local country singer, Chad Bushnell, and his beautiful wife, Stephanie, and let me just say… this little girl is the sweetest thing ever!

I’ve known Chad for many years and have had the privilege of watching his music career grow and grow. From graphic design projects to photoshoots along the way, it’s been such a joy to work together over the years. Seeing him step into this new role as a dad and getting to meet the newest member of their family was incredibly special.

Cassidy absolutely rocked her first photoshoot. Truly! She was calm, content, and hardly fussed the entire time—basically every newborn photographer’s dream. There’s something so peaceful about those early days at home, and capturing those quiet little moments in the place where a family’s story is unfolding makes it even more meaningful.

One of my favorite moments from the session was photographing Cassidy resting on her daddy’s guitar. If you know Chad, you know how fitting that moment was. Seeing this tiny new life curled up on something that represents so much of her dad’s journey… it was one of those images that just pulls at your heartstrings.

Those are the moments that remind me why I love what I do.

Chad and Stephanie, thank you for trusting me to capture such a precious season for your family. Baby Cassidy is already surrounded by so much love, and it was such an honor to document the beginning of her story.
