This family session was a long time in the making and it was one of the most rewarding sessions I’ve done in a while! This sweet family of six just absolutely made my day. I loved interacting with the kids and stealing those precious smiles out of them! Children are such a blessing.
When it was David’s turn for individual portraits he was a bit bashful at first. And I totally understand that! Putting yourself in front of the camera and being the center of attention is intimidating. But as soon as his parents shared with me that he LOVES rodeos, that was all we needed! David and I started chatting like crazy about our favorite rodeo events and which rodeos we’ve attended and the smiles just poured out. Success!
Being a family of six, Kathleen & Jonathan sure do have their hands full, but you can tell they're doing an amazing job at parenting! You could just see the pure love and joy they all share together. Sure there’s always going to be some rough days when you have four kiddos, but it’s worth it. I love the quote “Family, one of God’s masterpieces”, because it is so true! Families are a work of art.
Can I just talk about the light here for just a second? I am all about finding that glowy light! It’s my favorite challenge going into every session I do. “Where’s the light?” Gotta find that light! Some people laugh at me when I get all excited about it (mainly my kiddos) but after they see the end results from finding that light I think they realize why I get so excited. :) Turtle Bay is also one of my favorite spots to shoot at. There are just so many areas there that are beautiful! I love variety too, and this location really helps me deliver variety to my clients. Ok, ok, done talking about light and locations! :)
