Katerim and Miguel’s family session at Verbena Fields in Chico, California was such a beautiful and heartwarming afternoon! The day started out overcast and breezy, but it turned out to be absolutely perfect for their photos. Soft light filtered through the clouds, giving us the dreamiest tones and that cozy fall feeling that worked so well for their session.
I was especially excited to see these two again — I photographed Kat and Miguel’s wedding two years ago, and now getting to meet their sweet 6-month-old baby boy, Lucas, was such a special moment. He is absolutely adorable with the biggest brown eyes that could melt anyone’s heart! Watching my couples grow into families is truly one of the greatest blessings of being a photographer. It’s such an honor to be invited back to capture these new chapters in their lives.
Their outfit choices were perfect for the setting — Kat looked beautiful in a brown dress and wedge sandals, Miguel wore a cream-colored sweater with jeans, and baby Lucas looked so handsome in his little flannel jacket and jeans. Everything came together so naturally, and you could just feel the love and joy radiating between them.
Verbena Fields provided a beautiful backdrop with its golden grasses, winding trails, and soft autumn tones. This is definitely one of my top favorite locations in Chico!
I left their session feeling so grateful for families like theirs — for the chance to reconnect, celebrate milestones, and document the love that only grows stronger over time.
